2012 TARPON SPRINGS EPIPHANY

This gallery BEST VIEWED using the slideshow button in the upper right. The 2012 Epiphany celebration was a historic event! It was held in Tarpon Springs, FL. as it is every year. This year was very unique, two crosses were thrown into spring bayou and four boys were rewarded with the blessings given to whoever retrieves the cross. The first cross could not be located in the murky water, so a second was thrown. Three boys surfaced with the second cross, and a few minutes later the first cross was located, so all four were rewarded. It was the first time since 1976 that a second cross had to be thrown and the first time in the 106 year history of the event that four boys were honored for retrieving the Cross.
