TREASURE ISLAND KITE FESTIVAL

This gallery BEST VIEWED with the slideshow button in the upper right. The 15th Annual Treasure Island Kite Festival & Competition was held on the beach January 14th & 15th 2012. The weather was ideal for this event, bright sun,easy breeze, sandy beach - a perfect way to spend a January weekend as the rest of the Country shoveled snow! In addition to the multitude of brightly colored flying objects dancing in the sky, there was also a serious competition of professional kite flyers going on, as well as a candy drop that had all the children scrambling on the beach for sweet treats dropped from a kite.
