The Re-enactment of the Dade`s Massacre that took place 176 years ago at what is now Bushnell, Fl. This re-enactment takes place every year very close to the actual grounds of the battle. One hundred and eight soldiers from Ft. Brooke (modern day Tampa Bay) commanded by Brevet Major Francis Longhorne Dade were ambushed by Seminole Indians on Dec.23,1835, all but one soldier were killed, Private Ransom Clark was wounded, but survived and made his way back to Ft.
