Discovery Flies Into History - Still Photo`s

These photo`s BEST viewed with the slideshow button in the upper right. Photo`s taken from the top deck of the media observation tower at the Space Shuttle landing facility at Kennedy Space Center on April 17, 2012. It was the departure of Space Shuttle Discovery atop a NASA 747 to Washington, D.C. Discovery will be on permanent display at the Smithsonian. Many NASA employee`s, former and current astronauts, media and invited guest were there to watch Discovery fly out for the last time.
